Beyond the To-Do List

Beyond the To-Do List

Finishing your daily checklist should feel fulfilling. Often, it doesn’t. Why? Because a checklist is just a list of obligations/open threads you need to close. It’s not work that energizes you.

True fulfillment comes from curiosity, not just completion. It comes from the work itself. So if you feel drained rather than satisfied after a day of heavy context-switching, stop blaming yourself. You didn’t fail. Your list just wasn’t built for happiness; it was built for efficiency.
